We have lots of golden delicious apples on our tree which is about ready to harvest. I am going to have to get busy and bottle some apple pie in a jar soon. Our neighbor's trees are as full if not fuller this year! This is the first year in the 11 years we have lived here I have seen so many apples on our trees!

I didn't remember that you had an apple tree. Did your other fruit trees bear fruit?
Pie in a bottle is a real treat. I made some last year and I have one bottle left. Don brought a bucket full of apples and I canned them. They are great. It sounds like your fruit trees are doing good.
I don't believe I have ever tasted pie in a bottle. I did enjoy the pantry in the house in Manassa. I loved the rows of bright colored fruit and vegetables. It tasted better from a glass bottle than it ever did from a tin can.
