could it be a fish story?

The other day Don got a big one! He got hooked at home by his own fly hook! It seemed the rod got put up on a shelf and fell somehow catching him in his right arm. We called the registered nurse next door to help remove it from his arm. It was quite an ordeal, Don's skin was pretty tough when it came to removing the barb hook, and easy to get inside! That is the biggest catch which he caught that I know of !

I got a fish hook in my seat once when Arlo and I rolled down the hill in the old jeep station wagon. It wasn't that hard to remove though. Did it leave a sore? Are you alright Don?

If I remember right, that isn't the first time Don has caught that big sucker. I believe he had a hook in his ear from his own cast once as well.

Several years ago we lived across the highway from Johnson Reservoir. Our neighbors were longtime residents of the area and Mr. Cabrera knew where fish could be caught in the small body of water. One afternoon we went to the park around the lake and were fishing with grasshoppers. We did not catch any fish, but Brian did have some luck. A duck came and swallowed the grasshopper. Brian was crying because he did not want to hurt the duck.

We reeled in the duck and when we would pull on the fishing line you could see the ducks throat rise and fall deep down inside. We pulled the fishing line up and cut it and turned the duck loose. I hope it survived.

OUCH! I'm sure you put a bandaid on the wound like the bandaid that was on your blazer for a while! :D

Well the bandaid wasn't quite as big as that one... but yes! ha ha... Thanks everyone for the comments. It is neat when the family communicates and shares.
